梁宇亮博士为香港大学矫形及创伤外科脊柱司助理教授及椎间盘生物学与再生工程计划署处长。
目前为美国骨科研究学会特设委员,AOspine成员,香港干细胞协会成员,香港大学生殖发育生长中心成员。曾被邀在日本骨科学会,香港大学生物医学论坛,香港国际骨科论坛发言。目前带领超过14个博士/硕士研究生和7个研究人员。专于分子生物学和再生医学,研究兴趣在肌肉骨骼系统和相关的退行性疾病再生医学。特别关注髓核和椎间盘祖细胞,以及椎间盘退变的治疗,特别是干细胞再生工程和使用化学遗传学调节恢复蛋白多糖代谢。其他研究方向包括脊索细胞和软骨细胞的基因功能研究,以及建立椎间盘退变评估技术。
